Help understanding "the bay's" fees

I sold an item for $42.41. The fee was $1.53. Ebay took that right off the top. I charge $5.70 shipping. Ebay took that right off the top.

So, what else will I be charged for when my "bill" comes in? I see via the bay's email that I am getting an invoice soon with charges.
I looked back at my first month's bill and I was charged $6.45 for ebay's seller fees. I thought the fees were automatically taken out with the purchase and that was that. Dang!

The fees get put into your account, if you click the account tab on ebay it will show what you owe then once or twice a month they deduct it from paypal or your bank information... So when it says the fee its really not taken out until the invoice is sent.

The fees that come right off the top are the paypal fees.

I don't like the fees but I feel that is the cost of doing business. This months feeBay costs are $48.76 last november I was lazy and it was .59¢

Man I wish my fees were that low. I give eBay about $800 every month. I guess I can't complain because they do bring the buyers.

Amazon gets me for over 1000 per month but no complaints here.

I sold 95k on amazon last august and my fees were over 10k for the month. I miss having months like that.
