Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I found this Roman coin metal detecting in Germany a couple weeks ago and was hoping somebody could help me identify it. I have done some research but to no avail. Believe the coin is a minim because it is so small but I do not know Roman coinage very well. Also wish the coin was more complete but with the detail still visible, who am I to complain? :tongue3:

Anybody know which emperor this may be and what is on the reverse? Approximate date? Thanks in advance.

Not a Roman minum but a 4thC Ae4 which has rim deterioration .... possibly a Constantine.

Appreciate it Silver Searcher. I thought it may be a minim because it is so small. I also noticed the rim has been worn away but I think even it was still there it would be smaller than the dime. Either way this will give me a starting point. I'll see if I can figure out the two figures on the reverse as well. Thanks again.

Appreciate the help Mackaydon. I believe I'm getting closer to verifying this coin. My best guess so far is the emperor Constans who ruled from 337-350. I don't know very much about Roman coins but it seems my coin could be a Trier RIC VIII 195 variety. This is the closest I've been able to find.
