I live half the year in robbinsville nc running my family b&b and the other half running a salvage tug out of key west fla where I grew up. These were found in extreme southwestern nc and I really don't know what I have here but am addicted to hunting all things ancient and or historical! Any help would sure be appreciated-- thanks! Chris

I'm not the greatest photographer but I hope these are good enough for an id. I'm in key west now and have been finding lots of shell tools and will post pics soon -- thanks again for any help greatly appreciated!! Happy hunting! Chris

Nice assortment! :icon_thumright: I'm sure them eastern folks can help identify them for you.

1,5 are morrow mountains. 2,3,4 are knifes by the design, one side straighter than the other. The others probably tools/ scrapers. The tan stone is neat item and IDK. I gave a guess Johnathan will know I am sure cause he is from NC. Welcome to Tnet and thanks for a fresh look.

Thanks a lot for the quick help !! I can't think of anything that rivals the feeling you get when you happen across something that hasn't been seen for a very long time!! Thanks again

Keep posting them! I love to see them even brokes.

Thanks rock! Pic 1 Morrow Mt., 2, 3 Savannah River, 4, 6 Kirk Corner..maybe 4 Morrow Mt... pic 5 I think might be a Guilford stemmed , if now Morrow Mt. The other stuff looks like some nice broken points last of pictures looks like rocks to me. I agree with rock that flat tan one is pretty sweet looking. Good luck hunting and welcome to TNET fellow carolina brother!

Those are some nice defined points you have found. Thanks JG for telling what is there. I have quartz also but scrapers/ knifes. All 4 inches long probably hand tools.

Nice finds there. I'm like you with hunting almost everything with some years on it. I'm in fla. Also. I bet you find alot of shell hammers and drills down there. Look forward to seeing your posts and welcome.

Nice finds. What a cool pottery pattern. Thanks for sharing.
