Hello guys here i have a dull grey metal. I know its not iron slag and im pretty sure its not lead or lead pewter. since this came from the ground i first cleaned it with water then a metal polish called Peek which is a unique concentrated formula which removes tarnish, heat discolouration and oxidation from all metal surfaces like silver, brass, copper, bronze, aluminium, gold, stainless steel, pewter, magnesium and platinum. And this is the colour that is left after being polished. It does not stick to a magnet so any suggestions what metal this could be ?
Please find images attached.
Many thanks

looks like a nickle nugget.nickle test kit at pharmacys(common skin alergen),also it heavy?scratch easily?do you have a test kit(acids and a stone?)

also...try posting it in the what is it forum....some good metal folks there

I did have some hydrochloric acid for testing gold and silver stored out in my shed but a mouse took a liking to it and ate into the bottle.

its weight is 22.8 grams i have tried to scratch it with a needle but it just leaves a silver line from the needle it dont scratch into the metal.

if its hard but tests positive for lead(paint store has lead test pen)than its pewter slag

After doing some more research im going to have a guess at roman era copper/silver alloy as im in England.
