help to date this button please..thanks guys

Hi guys I would like to have a more knowlegable button expert throw some light on this button ..i acquired three and thought they would fit into my 1860 to 1880 n/z war period collection...listed as victorian tunic buttons..they are a two piece and marked haymen and sons, london on there back..any help on circa would be fully appreciated..cheers des

I agree with the date, but I believed these to be General British issue (Royal Horse Artillery
Generic Issue), I have had quite a few over here.

Probably not strictly British but of British Commonwealth that we are still a part of. If they were using British buttons during the WWI, they were mostly likely using it much earlier.
