it should date before 1891. that was the date that Augustus Bunkley partnered with Gwaltney
 

I see a dash to the left of the "B" in Bunkley so maybe the "Gwaltney" was removed due to the damage. That would also make the wording around the edge more symmetric. It wouldn't look right without something along the left edge. Congrats on keeping your silver streak intact.

Yes I see the dash now and the Gwaltney was completely wiped off. The peanut company was in the early 1900's!
