Nice watch!

My first guess is it is a Swiss made watch or French made with Swiss movement. The marking "Suisse" is from the French speaking part of Switzerland. Switzerland has 3 official languages, German, French and Italian.

Ancre means it is a lever escapement. Is there a serial number located on the works? If so, you can date the watch by that number. There are several websites with this information. Below is just one example:
