I’m new to all of this so please be patient with me. Today, after getting home from work and looking at my pocket change I found this 1988 D Quarter. Can I get yalls opinion on this. Look at the Word “IN” IN GOD WE TRUST. Thanks, DavidV 1567C712-5412-4198-90D2-606B759EBC3E.jpeg103229D4-E91C-4E3B-A168-2AE889BB0657.jpeg8640EBBE-17F9-4A42-A111-B054CD55C24F.jpeg

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard DavidV! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - I moved ya from TODAY'S FINDS! over to COINS for more exposure.

every old worn qtr. has that same look to "IN", just wear-- not an error

To me it looks like damage first, and then lots of wear.

Damage and wear. “IN” was damaged, possibly a hit, followed by 30 years of circulation. No cud. No die chip. No grease.

Time for more coffee.
