Kind of looks like a broken fossil. If not it could be a concretion simular to a septerian nodule.

When i saw the rock on the ground right away i saw it was different. Then when i picked it up first thing i said to myself was this is a fossil skin. The pattern on the bottom looks as I imagine it would. Then on top it looks like the end of a bone and where is broke you can see the different layers from skin the bone and Mero also appears to have veins as well. I just really hope somebody can help me shed light on this because my gut feeling tells me that is a fossil with skin.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where i could take this to have it looked at by someone that would know. Any information would be much appreciated

A2coins would you know of a place where i could take this to get it looked at by someone who has experience with fossils. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I am 100% convinced its a fossil with skin and i think that it is just so cool I could find that like wow

Two paths to take on this. First is a knowledgeable geologist or an experienced rockhound. Either may be able to identify rock type. Second is a qualified paleontologist. Specifically one that works identifying fossils. Is either of these professionals suspects that the item belongs in a specific category, they will let you know. Be aware that many colleges, universities, and museums do charge a fee just to look at something.

Time for more coffee.

Just a wild "guess" to look into is maybe it a broken piece of coprolite, "dino poop"?
