Its the Hamilton Family Crest from Scotland. Notice the same leaves and flowers. Also shield with 3 five-pointed stars. There are different variations. Probably a kilt belt tip. I can see sharp points in your pic where it would grip the belt.

BCH, you were right on the crest emblem, but I think taz nailed the actual ID.

If you zoom in on Taz's pic you can see that the emblem is not the same.
Hamilton products was established in 1975 and I did not find anything that new at the field site.
[ found an 1846 large cent, CW general service button, and a gold gilt flower button]
I am 90% sure BCH is right on his ID.

So possibly the modern hamilton is copying an older design? I'll go along with that, I didn't look real close at either BCH's or taz's link.

Traderfortreasures first mentioned belt. I was just researching information and trying to get the ball rolling so to speak. I found the crest but I think taz got it IDed. The horse halter crest is a perfect match.

The horse halter crest says Hamilton Products.
Mine only says Hamilton.
Also the crest stamped on the halter is larger and off center.
I think Hamilton products just copied the old crest.

Its exactly the same but without the word "Products". It may be a tad larger(we dont know this for sure). Being offcenter means nothing. Its way too close not to call it an ID. Plus the reasons plehbah mentioned. I think its a great ID taz!

Actually if you look closer, I dont see "products" on the bottom. Exact match.
