the copy coin is a modern replica of a (spanish?) coin that you can buy almost anywhere along the shore nowadays. infact i bought a few of them last summer at a gift shop

The coin is a common souvenir copy of a Spanish Reale approx 1700. Most likely Mexico mint.

The item to the left is cut off in my picture. Is it my computer? We need all the clues we can get, starting with a complete picture. I see a lot of words to google but I prefer to wait for a complete picture before racking my brain lol. If you can tell us what it says may also help but you need to be as exact as possible. One letter off and it wont google properly. :D

Is that front and back?

Your cap with threads is off a 60 or 80 gallon steal barrel.
It could be an oil barrel. Oil came in bulk and they could take off that cap and add a pump. The pipe on the pump would go to the bottom of the barrel and threaded on. Some pumps had a crank type handle you could turn clockwise and I think it put out a quart of oil and had to turn it back and start over.
Fuel oil and gas tanks also.

I would imagine the letters would be the best clue to the company and/or the contents. All I can see is No._______________ NEW YORK..

I also see what looks like __________& HODGE but like I said the picture is cut off. :help:
