Good morning all. Hopefully a cob expert will help me out. Dug this in a Delaware farm field permission. 1690 Spanish cob. Thanks in advance

excellent info thanksThe letters in the middle say PLUS ULTRA which means "more beyond". It can be identified by the "P" mintmark or by looking at the wave under the date. If the wave goes up its from Potosi which is in the mountains. If the wave goes down, it's from Lima which is by the coast.
interesting though I know nothing about cobs kinda an error coin? or mis-strike (which seem to be common)I noticed something peculiar about this coin. On the reverse (the side with the cross) the date (90) below the cross has a diagonal line through the zero. I don't recall ever seeing this on cob zeros.
Except for putting lions/castles in the wrong quadrants, there are not really errors on cobs. Each one is handmade and no two are exactly the same. If anything it could be unique.interesting though I know nothing about cobs kinda an error coin? or mis-strike (which seem to be common)
thanks I have learned a lot in the last 24 hours likely not to get another anytime soon so it has been a fun ride take careExcept for putting lions/castles in the wrong quadrants, there are not really errors on cobs.
