HELP!! Is there such thing as a Portuguese 1839 40 reis coin. Pictures!!!

I've looked at books and searched the internet but all sources seem to state that my particular coin was minted only up to 1833 yet it CLEARY shows the year 1839. The only reason i could find is maybe their 2s look too much like 9s. Is that the case .
