Help Identifying

I found this item in an area that has produced many civil war campsite relics and would like some help in identifying. It rang up at nine plus inches and gave the same reading as a three ringer bullet. Thanks. Happy Digging!

Can't find a good pic but I believe it is the spike or tip from a late 19th C parasol.
