Hi there! A few months ago my grandpa passed away and my grandmother asked me the other day if I could try to identify a set of vases that he had. All she knows is what he told her over the years which amounts to the following... the vases were brought over from Russia by his first wife's grandmother and are by some famous artist or sculptor. I see no maker marks or stamps of any kind and I know absolutely nothing about antique vases so I was hoping maybe someone here would have an idea? Thanks!

After examining them further, they both have two seams which apparently makes these poured glass. Don't know if this helps anyone or not but there you have it :)

Are they black glass?

A time frame might also help. 1930's? 50's? 70's?

With no other markings this will be a tough one to ID.

Yes they are black glass. Time frame is rough... I would say definately pre 1950 but beyond that I would only be guessing. Thanks for the response :)

Forgot to ask... Are the flowers etched or painted on?
