this is actually from my post in 'todays finds', yesterday, but today it belongs here...confused...sorry.

any way dug this up yesterday, and also found some bones in the hole which ended my dig(not many and not anything that screamed indian burial, but the pottery and bones in the same hole still gave me hesitation, any way in yesterdays post the consensus(2 people) figured it was probably animal in an old dump site. I went back and got the pottery and took pictures just to be sure.

this is where you come in, it is from lehigh county pa, lower milford township. So pottery experts or those knowledgable in it let me know if its just reg. old pottery or do I stop digging.

Vitrified clay sewer pipe. The indentation is for a gasket.

no found plenty of that by creek bed, there is a bottom not pictured, when I found the bottom pieces and put enough together to see it flair out and learn was def. a pot is when I first began to worry.

thanks for the info. guys now I can have some fun.

Looks like red ware pottery, used 1865-1900. I use 5 min. epoxy glue. Nice project on a cold day....
Best of luck....Take your time in repairing the pot....

All the best Simon
