Found this a couple years ago at an old homesite being torn down. In the rear yard next to the clothesline.
Friend of mine's dad knew a little German and thought maybe from some kind of youth group.

Looks like a Nazi party pin of some sort, I agree. There was a local Pow Camp around me here in Il. that's part of a park today. I always wondered about that place and what could be found. Thanks for the idea, I wish I could help more.

Wow that may be the quickest answer ever! Thanks!!
Looking on the back you can see the round logo, and what looks like may be numbers.
Its not magnetic, so not iron, either bronze or silver. The metal is pitted so gonna also assume not a repro. This was a very old house and had been abandoned for over 10 years before I got the chance to look around.
