SOLVED: Help identifying blue stones

Hi there I purchased this gem from a sales person in India.

The stone is a bright blue colour and sparkles in the light. I was told it could be amethyst but i thought amethyst was purple.

If anyone in the community could help me identify it, that would be a huge help!

Thanks!

You might try re-posting in the rocks and gems forum just for extra special attention! Yakker

Looks like druzy quartz. What is Druzy | What is Druzy? In geological usage druse or druzy is a coating of fine crystals on a rock fracture surface, vein or within a vug or geode. Druse occurs worldwide, the most common is perhaps quartz druse within voids in chert or agates. Garnet, calcite, dolomite and a variety of minerals may occur as druse coatings.
