It reminds me of a WWI dog tag.

There is an Edward Nyber mentioned in a Nov. 30, 1918 article in the Adams County Free Press from Corning Iowa. I could find everything since I didn't sign up for a free trial, but it looks like it may be mentioned in an article about the war.

Angelo's WWII Angels Dog Tag Return Project

Try that site, no fee. You'll have everything about him and phone numbers to living family members in a few days.

I found one to a couple of years ago and someone on here gave me that site. Angelos Angels is the name of Org. They helped me get the tag back to the family in a week.
