✅ SOLVED Help identifying an Aluminum object

This aluminum object is approximately the size of a silver walker half dollar.
I found a 1948 wheat penny not far from it.
Could this be a World War I Dog Tag?
The bottom hole is narrower than the top hole.
30.52mm in diameter.

There is an Edward Nyber mentioned in a Nov. 30, 1918 article in the Adams County Free Press from Corning Iowa. I could find everything since I didn't sign up for a free trial, but it looks like it may be mentioned in an article about the war.

I found one to a couple of years ago and someone on here gave me that site. Angelos Angels is the name of Org. They helped me get the tag back to the family in a week.
