Hey gang. Found this vintage wood guitar at a thrift store. I know nothing about guitars. The only clue that may help identify this guitar is a very worn label inside and I can only make out a few words. The guitar has seen better days and has had what looks like the tuning pegs replaced. Any help is appreciated if you have a idea. I am not sure what kind of wood was used to make it. what I can make of the label is Americano Fox Thea and that's it.

Take it to a music shop, they'll know more. I'm not so bad with guitar, it looks 1920s to me.

Hi thanks for the help. The size of this is 37 inches tall. Body at the widest is 13 inches. The neck is around 16.5 inches long and headstock is 7 inches. Hope this helps. DSC05429.JPGDSC05430.JPGDSC05431.JPGDSC05432.JPG

I think they started making parlor style guitars in the 1890s. The headstock looks a little crude and that makes it look old but my guess is its a Mexican guitar from maybe the 40s or 50s.

Don't think it's mexican and don't think it's old. Probably 1970's, 1980's. Guitar is in too good of condition to be vintage, bridge is modern, varnish on neck is original, but not vintage, believe tuners are original and neck is modern. Check with vintage guitar store, but don't hold your breath. Sorry...

Looks like its a kit guitar. The neck isn't original it looks like you can see the old outline. And wow that tuner block is really crude. Just take it somewhere info is free.

You may be right but it could have been refinished, too. The body looks in good condition but that headstock looks old. I've never seen a newer guitar with a wood nut either. The fonts on the decal do look modern. Looks like a brass bridge saddle and those were popular in the late 70s early 80s. Who knows? I wouldn't mine finding one:) Cool little guitar!
