Help identify this rock?

Hello everyone, a contractor had seen this rock in my yard and told me it might be very valuable and collectible 20190223_163943.jpg20190223_163943.jpg20190223_163943.jpg20190223_163956.jpg, i have a second similar one, could anyone tell me what it is or if it might actually have any value?

Thanks everyone!

Looks like a hunk of gneiss, possibly. Unless I'm missing something, it's worth what someone might pay for it. Mountain ranges are made of it ( not entirely, but not uncommon ). Metamorphic, sandstone that was mashed and cooked miles underground, brought to the surface through uplift and erosion. It's a cool yard piece.

When you leave gneiss and feldspar alone for an eon or two, next thing you know you got rocks that look like yours.

Good to ask but looks like a rock no value IMO

Yard art. Nothing more. If a contractor places enough value on it, it is up to you to accept of reject the offer.

Time for more coffee.

Since the OP didn't say where this rock is, it could very well have some value, there are many places in the USA that has no rocks to speak of nearby and landscapers have to pay a big increase in price for big rocks as they have to be shiped in from long distances and big rock are heavy and the shipping cost makes them very expensive.
