Can anyone tell me what kind of key this is? And what kind of shell casing this is?

The casing has a U 4 2 on it, looks copper instead of brass

.30-06, .45 ACP or a .50 BMG? It was made in the Utah arsenal in 1942.

Case length, head diameter, and any kind of other dimensions would help immeasurably.
