The casing has a U 4 2 on it, looks copper instead of brass

.30-06, .45 ACP or a .50 BMG? It was made in the Utah arsenal in 1942.

Case length, head diameter, and any kind of other dimensions would help immeasurably.

Thank you! I'm new to this so bear with me, I found what I thought was a tin for percussion caps, got home cleaned it up and it was a condom tin...yeah that's the kinda day I've had! Thanks for your help!
