I found this buckle at a 110 year old house in North Georgia. It is in the possession of the home owner. It is about 5/8" across and 1" long. Can anyone help me date it and/or identify its origin or use. I hope the image uploaded properly.
Hat band buckle, and since it is pressed metal, light-duty use,
so, maybe men's garter buckle....Ladies' perhaps, with her
accoutrements of some kind - it is fancy...!
Its old!
Great Find...!

Plpanik, A Big Welcome to You to the forum from a fellow Georgian. What part of North Georgia are you from? I am from Covington, Georgia, East of the Big A town.........just Not anywhere near far enough away. Congrat's on the find of the buckle. It looks pretty old. Nice save on an ornate piece.
Devldog: thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I actually am not from Georgia. My son lives in Atlanta and this was the home of a friend of his that we got permission from. As a side note I also have a brother that lives in Ballground.
