Hi I am hoping somebody on the treasure net forum can help identify a sword that my uncle gave me. Honestly I have no idea on it. Just that he said it was old. It is 36 inches long and on the handle has a crown with 2 cannons crossed. has what i think is the foundry mark and or makers mark. Has some nice scroll engraving on the piece. Has possibly another foundry mark that looks like a M or possibly W. it is a pretty cool piece. Any help on this is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The crossed cannons and crown is something I had seen before in the past. That suggested it was of Spanish origin. As for age, I was thinking Spanish American war era but I never researched it.
