Hello all. Attached is a sheet with photos and info about four of my yet unidentified 2017 finds. Please take a look and let me know what you think they are. I've done a ton of research and haven't found anything close. Many thanks.

June

I found the exact same "globe" thing and I'm pretty sure it's just a bed post or something.

DK'03 & Ben are right on.

Item 1 looks like the top ring from an old lampshade.

Item 4 looks like a wall hanger from an advertising calendar.

I'm not sure about that. The hexagonal "nut" base at the bottom is attached to a brass column that runs up through the ball and turns independently of the ball. The column has holes that empty into the body of the ball possibly as a pressure relief through the smaller holes in the ball. The brass column continued through the other end of the ball and attached to something else, which was broken off. I'm thinking some sort of pressure relief valve, but I've never seen one like this.

Don't think #1 is a calendar holder. The metal is too heavy, the ring too large. The horizontal piece is one piece of metal, folded over, with two wires and very heavy webbing or woven fabric crimped within. Whatever this is, it was designed to do much heavier work than hanging on a wall.

This would have been helpful info in your original post...

Maybe part of a lawn sprinkler?

Hey, that's a real possibility. I found this image also that supports that theory. Although, I don't understand how they would have achieved enough water pressure (in 1800) to run such a system. If anyone knows how they would have done this, please let me know. I'm really interested to know. Thank you for your help. Another mystery solved!

Yes, #3 could definitely be the end of a strop. Thanks!
