Help identify belt buckle and tag

Just came back from a quick yard hunt in revolutionary rich NJ. What era is the belt buckle from? Also any clue on the tag?

Don't know what the buckle is from, but the tag would appear to been used on or with some sort of fabric or other material which was sold by the yard, or in this case 5 yard increments. It's pretty old, but I'm still looking to find something approximating it.

I'm no buckle expert, but I'll give you my opinion. I would say it's from the late 1800's or probably 1900's. Definitely not a colonial buckle.

Yeah, I'm with Tim on the tack buckle, maybe later, up to 1920s
