I’ve found too many of them, they look really good. The iron back is a tell. Almost all military buttons have brass backs. Notable exceptions would be iron and tin back Confederate buttons.

Definitely a modern two-piece button, probably made in the last 100 years. :thumbsup:
Looks to be a fantasy piece. The stylized shield featured in the middle may indicate that it's a private school button.
