Hi!

I bought a box lot of mainly plated silver stuff at an auction because I spied some Sterling mixed in with it. I didn't think anyone had looked at it as closely as I had, and I was right. I got the lot for $20, and so far fave pulled about $300 in silver from it.

So, onto my question. I cannot find any marks on the below serving pieces, but by god do they look, feel, smell, and sound like silver. I will probably have to get them tested, unless one of you recognizes the pattern.

Thanks for looking!

No offense intended but just get them tested. I've done silverware pattern searches in the past and it is tedious, time consuming work. Even if the pattern is ID'd I suspect you'll end up selling them for melt down.

Sounds like you done real good on the auction.

These appear to have filled/weighted sterling handles and plated serving ends. They are sometimes marked near the bottom of the handles or along the sides of the handles. Often the mark is just "STERLING HANDLE"
