✅ SOLVED Help ID Knife

Found these knifes and a few bullets this weekend and would like to know what I have. The one bullet is a 58 three ringer and the one knife looks like a Barlow. Don't know anything about large knife or small bullets. They were all found together at a known CW site. Thanks for any help.

Your small bullets are Colt pistol bullets. Your big knife is a bowie, but I wouldn't dare guess an age on it.

Nice bowie knife, will display nicely. Been in the ground long enough for the wood grips to decay. Could be CW if found in that same spot as the minie, although many soils would have consumed the metal at a higher rate. Maybe you got good soil conditions there. Very Nice either way

Thanks for the help. The knife is double edges, is that still considered a bowie knife. And yes it was with the bullets.

IMO Most Bowies were hand made and had fat handles. I would say it qualifies but that is just IMO

There are people here with far more knowledge of knives than me.

Here is an update. found an example of a CW boot dagger. Notice on mine were it is flat on one side.

I would definitely go with dagger. No idea on age or region of yours, but they go back pre Revolutionary War in the US

Bowie has become so muddied that no one agrees what even those owned by Jim or Rezin Bowie. Most have a clip point.

None other than Davy Crockett carried a dagger.

Original Bowies werent double edged.You have a dagger or a arkansas toothpick.
