I found one just like it in Texas back in 2016.

Creskol Thanks yours and mine are the only ones I have saw. I sure hope someone can help Do you know of any more?

Nope .. never learned anything more than what Pete said in his reply to my post, but ours are square and not rectangular as you pointed out. I know some Militia plates were square though.

Pete's "lead filler" theory would make sense, hence why both of your examples are broke (crumbled apart from being bent or struck and most pieces fell out the stamped brass). I wouldn't think they would lead fill around the edges as the rims look like solid brass.
