Mainly wondering about the button.. from what I can make out it says... " *Rich Orange Colou..." text is indented.. Reads 37-43

29-33 reading on the (1/4) piece of button...

solid 39 reading on the bullet...

Colonial flat button ,or Gilt button... the Orange had more plate on them late 1700s early to mid. 1800s. Fell on of style around 1830s but use much longer.
Nice finds to help date sites.

Thanks Gary, do you know who may have been wearing this button? Does Colonial mean military?

Colonial is just the time period.
As for who`s button.... maybe a common man ,farmer or any one`s shirt of that time ....but most likly not military issue.
