It's from the Sons of Veterans, now the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, founded in 1881. For more info:

The button itself is likely around 100 years old.

Thanks, AP! Unfortunately, every time I've been given a title, it's come with a bucket & mop! :D

Read what it says right at the bottom of my post... the same place where yours says, "Movin' on up!"

I'm just who I am.

Anyway, let's keep on helping one another whenever we can— and try to have a good time doing it!

PBK has been named Global Moderator & I think its about time! Excelent move Jeff & Marc! PBK has provided so many people here with info on their items & spent countless hours researching for us, I think its a fitting title & role that I know he will fit into perfectly! Congrats to you PBK, I know everyone agrees there is nobody here more deserving! :)

Many thanks, AP! (But didn't your mama tell you not to exaggerate so much? ::)
I'm just looking forward to enjoying friendly swaps of info, ideas, and ID's, as always... and, of course, to seeing more of the TNet family's fantastic finds!

Thanks, J.D.!

BTW, I think this must be a first for you... a post without pics of another super find! :D

'Preciate that, Ken! We've been bouncin' around these boards for quite a while now, all the way back to the "Buckram" era. So, you know what I'm gonna say...

Best of luck! ;)
