Help ID Anchor Button

Once again I cannot find anything on this, but the last button I couldn't ID was ID'd by a T-Neter as civil war era general service button. Since I found this one in the same area as the general service button, I though I'd ask. As you can see it is slightly smaller than a dime and it is slightly thinner than a dime too.

Because of the two holes it seems like it would be a shirt button, but I'm not sure if there were metal shirt buttons, so maybe it is for some other use.

I took two pictures at different angles to hopefully show detail. The back of the button is a negative image as the front.

I've dug these as well from sites of the same era.
Pretty sure this is a post CW civilian shirt button
