Help I dentifying these please

My son and I walked an area where they are leveling land near Lewisville Lake in Texas, this is supposed to be an area where they had found some of the oldest burn pits ever discovered in North America. Anyway the small cylindrical shaped piece has an outer edge made of a different material than the inner part which appears to have a celluose (not sure if right term) structure to it. And the other piece looks like a petrified peanut?

You're gonna have to post some larger images. Just can't even make a guess here. The fourth image looks like a wine cork, i doubt you posted a wine cork.

I will take a stab in the dark and say that it may be something petrified or possibly a piece of bone? Or more than likely some type of prehistoric plant life that grew on an Ancient sea floor. Sorry I can't be much help here man, I'm out of my league with this one.

My best guess is that these are ichnofossils . . . in this case, sections of in-filled invertebrate burrows.
