A tack, button or cufflink, washer, door latch hardware, and a buckle? I am bad at this, but I am sure I got at least one right! LOL Hopefully smarter people will respond! Good Luck

They are used with a Horse Collar to attach or hitch the horse to whatever you are doing with the horse, pulling a wagon for instance. I could post a photo if you like.

Excellent reference, PaleoPilot. You just identified half of the stuff in my iron pile. I thought I would have to wait until I retire to take the time to identify some of the pieces.

You may be correct Kuger, I think the "jury" is still out on this one though. It does not match exactly to either item.
Your right :icon_thumright: I am pretty sure though.....I have dug em,and if you can see the detail its more obvious....I wish I could find a better image on line...or find where ne of mine is????

Those wooden hames are fairly common around here too. I must have 30 pair someplace! I'm starting to wonder if it was a maybe a drawer pull or one of those handles used for doors in the floor to access the cellar?

 I have to agree,I have dug a number of hames, and dont even recall seeing that piece you pictured?Glad to see it!
