help i.d. a pocket watch

found almost a foot down in area that dates early 1800s . No markings that I can see. Is the makers mark on the inside?

If you can pop the back off there should be some identifying numbers or marks on the movement. HH

That stinks there's no visible markings on the back, however IMO it seems to resemble an Ingersoll or Ingraham "dollar" pocket watch.

Hey man,
I found a similar watch a few months ago, had to get the magnifying glass out and found 12/47 E Ingraham Company etched out on it. That meant December of 1947. Here's a ebay link, maybe it'll help you know what to look for.
