Help from OBN...Battery Pack BMS

Sorry I just seen......What batteries are you using, and how many ...... for sure it is 12.volts? Li-ion I can draw you up design.. 18650's, 26650?

It would be 12.6 volts fully charged.

Here is the batteries I made for my excalibur using Li-ions..
Notice I used a FUSE in each battery also. Something to prevent problems just in case there is a short. These batteries can be very dangerous..

@OBN Great work on building those batteries. Wish I had taken a course years ago. Do most of your supplies come from battery space/AA Portable Power Corp? Does the precision double pulse welder work better than a high quality Hakko soldering unit? I'm going to try my first 4S 14.8V Li-ion battery for a White's TDI BH.

Just made them for a few machines, the Fisher AQ, a few TDI's.. and my Excaliburs. No longer do them but I can guide you if needed. Its fairly easy if you go one step at a time.

https://www.bulkbattery.com/ <<<batteries I order here
Then I order some things from Amazon, the chargers, the fittings from Digikey, and a few things from Battery space, like the BMS..Oo and the lead strips, rice paper, and the shrink wrap..ebay. The charger from Amazon is the same one from battery space..except 8 dollars cheaper and free shipping..
At first I was a little leary about ordering the welder but found I can really save time using it and it is much safer.. It will not weld the thick lead strips but the medium size no problem, which is fine..not like I'm building batteries with 30 or 40 cells. Let me know, I can guide you a long on the build..Lots of great pictures on Steves Xxxxx. Just message me, I'll give you my Phone number..I'll even send you some of what you need (N/C) for I am not doing anymore batteries..and have a good amount of extras..

The pack is NiCaD. 9v... can it go Li-ion ? ?

Ouch..well.. 4.2 x 2 cells = 8.4volts fully charged
Or 4.2 X 3 cells = 12.6volts fully charged
Let me look around some..

Can you send me a picture of your current battery pack, one I can see the batteries..
Also I sent them a question on the battery pack..asking the fully charged voltage.

online... i will look later for some photos... otherwise i have to pull the pack... which is not an easy quick task.... it actually requires the disassembly of the unit... not a huge deal but a pain none the less.
I will say they are "C" sized... 6 or 8 of em... 2 wire block (2 pin) to board connection.

OBN, just FYI, Stoneshirt is unable to reply..

No rush, a picture will give me a better idea.

I think OBN needs to do a shop tour.

That welder is pretty cool.
