Yes, it's British & more a Quality Mark than Makers Mark. Early 1800s.Likely made in England, probably Birmingham. Large numbers were imported. The "Superfine Standard" is a designation for the button's plating. There was a bewildering variations in those designations using words like the ones on yours and "Gilt", "Orange" and many others.
