I purchased this rock in Monterrey Mexico. Can you tell me what kind of rock it is and where they find these kind of rocks in general? Thanks for all the information you can give me.

I think the first one may be Laguna agate. , am sure there will be experts puttin in their 2 cents, & I'd listen to them, but I have a piece that looks similar & was told it was laguna. the one with pink is dyed agate. pretty.

I see where you need to get a rock saw,Burdie.You would be surprised at what is inside a lot of these old plain looking rocks we have around here.

I bought my son a blue agate about six x eight inches one inch thick. Apparently 99% of them are dyed. I paid $26.00 which included the shipping from California.

Rockhounds like rocks that's why we keep them.
