Help dating this cufflink or botton or whatever it is

Found this a few weeks back. It appears to be gold and is about the size of a u.s nickle. Fairly heavy so I suspect it to have some gold to it. I'm guessing it's a cufflink. It was found on the top of a little knoll that has produced civil war relics, however I don't think it's from that era. I really hope someone can give me some insight as to what it is, when it was made or who wore it. It was dug around 8 inches and didn't show up numerically on AT Pro only a faint high tone, but hadn't rained in 2 or 3 weeks so soil was very dry. Sorry for reposting this item again but I know someone out there has some insight.

Early 20th C. Collar stud.

It is similar to WWI Musician collar disk.

BTW - your pics of the front are upside down. It is a lyre (musical instrument).
