Hello everyone. My names is Brenda and I'm new here. I haven't introduced myself, so thought I might do that first.

I have a small collection of Jasper and Agate that I bought off a gentleman who bought them from a collector and cutter. It's my understanding that the collector collected them up from all over the world over a fifty year span, and cut he cut them. That's it.

I have been driving myself crazy trying to identify them. I haven't found anything like them on the web. Please help!!!!

These are my favorite, well a few of my favorite. Please help!!!

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not an expert on anything, let me just put that out front.

I think the second photo consists of moss agate. Moss agate doesn't have moss in it, but the formations of the mineral inclusions resemble moss, hence the common name.

Don't have a clue right now about the other ones. Is there a rock shop near your location? Do you own a rock identification book? Is there a university with a geology department near you? How about a high school geology teacher, you could call and inquire.

There are many brilliant people who visit this website and I'm sure that at some point in time your cabs will be identified.
