I was walking around goodwill today and thought I might try something other than buying gold and silver for once. I saw this little porcelain candle stick and it looked like it was hand painted and it had markings on the bottom and on top of that it was half off for only a $1 so I thought it might be fun to buy it and figure out if it was anything good. After a bunch of misguided searches I actually found a piece on ebay being sold that had the same exact signature and markings and flower pattern!
Here is the listing I found
Antique French Faience de L'Est Les Islettes Decor Strasbourg Vase FF297 | eBay
From that I learned...

-Its antique French
-Signed and made by Henri Chaumeil (1877-1944)
-The style is called Faience de L'Est
-Might be from the Les Islettes factory

I really don't know what to do with this information. I only have experience in gold and silver and know nothing about porcelain. I have no clue how to put a value on this piece. The ebay seller with the similar vase wants $1,100 for theirs but theirs is a vase and mine is just a candlestick so I doubt I could ask that much. Any suggestions on how much I should try and sell this for :icon_scratch:
