Found this today with my metal detector into yard ... We had a 200year barn here... Found it nearby. Any ideas??

Welcome! Looks like an old plow or tiller blade. I found one from an old oliver when I was a kid. still have it kicking around.

I agree with tip from plow blade. Should be a lot of stuff in the ground. Once you get the big iron out it should be easier.

Looks to be a broken piece of an old plow tip.

On the computer look up a duck foot or chisel plow. It was used to turn hardened pasture grasses.

Or a busted excavator/back hoe tooth.Some are hollow all the way. Does it have a hole in the side of it.

What type of detector are you swinging?

This is a 1940's seed opener for an Oliver grass/small grain row planter.

This probably a replaceable tip for either a row crop harrow or a seed opener, mid'30s early 40's maybe.
