Hello! I purchased this helmet at a garage sale in Oregon about ten years ago. Anyone know what type? Thank you!

Looks to be a WW1 style. Used up to the beginning of WWII, although the British and others used this style throughout the 2d WW. In the U.S., Civil Defense would have used these as well. However, I am no expert in this or, well....any realm. Any markings anywhere inside or out? On helmet or webbing inside?

Thanks for your input!
The only makings I can find are on the chinstrap buckle.

Well, looks to be that of a fouled anchor, Dept. of the Navy perhaps, used by Navy or Marine Corp.
