Hi, I'm new here! I like to garage sale and find my treasures. Some things I keep and some things I sell.

I also have a class ring I found in the 70's and would like to find the owner. I plan to post a pic of the ring on the forum, and am hoping somebody might be able to help with the markings to possibly find the owner. Thanks for having me here! Look forward to reading more and learning!!

hello Chris and welcome! RE:H.S. rings - best to contact alumni at H.S. and find who had those initials for that year. Some have lost/found rings you can list but many do not look these sites at all. Some alumni are on FB now. Or go to classmates.com and contact people in that class, and ask them to look in their yearbook for you. You can look on FB for someone once you find their full name. If a female and ring older than 20 years - it won't be as easy because most likely they have married and now have different last name. I have a '68 H.S. ring that belongs to a female. i have the list of names but cannot locate. My next step is to go to ancestry.com and search records for birth/marriage/divorce/death and see if I can locate correct person. Nothing but dead ends so far but I haven't given up yet. Good luck!

Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Thanks for all that great information. I cannot even find the school! I have already tried many of your suggestions but no luck. I will post under Lost and type in all the research I have done. It is from 1963 so I am not sure if the school still exists. I hope to reunite the ring with its owner some day. Good luck to you too!!

Thank you for your suggestions! I live in Florida but found the ring in Chicago. I've been concentrating on looking in the Chicago area. I will check out Subforums. There are markings on the ring that might have a clue but no name of the school on it.

Welcome to T-Net !
