I just bought my first metal detector. Been on the site for a few weeks trying to gain some info on metal detectors. Now that I bought one I figured I would sign up. Been wanting to buy one for many years. About a month ago my nephew was playing around with one he got for Xmas, this sparked my interest. I am waiting for my Propointer, its in the mail. I am currently using a Garrett ACE 350, and still learning!

Welcome from Michigan. I cut my teeth on a 350, and still use it today. BIG HINT: Buy the housing cover! The face of that unit is very fragile!!! Touch the LCD area of the screen, you'll see what I mean. If your unit gets raked by a branch, it will rip.
