Hi all, my name is Tammy and I'm so happy to have found this site. I came across it while trying to look up info about some old military buttons I have. My late father was a treasure hunter master, metal-detecting and gold panning along the east coast and surely would have loved this site. I would like to post pictures of some of my buttons eventually, and from what I can tell so far the proper forum to do so would be the What-Is-It forum..is this correct? I have also toyed with the idea of getting into metal-detecting myself...this site looks as though it will answer my questions regarding how to get started...looking forward to new adventures and meeting new people here!
