Hi, my name is Curt and I have recently joined up here after lurking around for a good while. Recently I've come up with this idea for artifact display cases, and after prototyping a few of them I figured it would be a good idea to try selling them. Trouble is, I have no idea what would be a good idea for pricing. I figured that it might be a good idea to ask other hunters about it before I go about trying to sell them.

Below are some pictures, for reference. There's a few neat things about them that makes them different from other display cases-- namely a hanging system that keeps it level, and a sliding glass/plexiglass front that allows the case to appear seamless, but also be easy to open from the side.

Looks great, have you figured out the time and materials yet? People build many for a hobby, prices were too low to make it serious.

good luck to you, it is a nice looking case!

Yup, what up there said.
Time n material are key.
Build quality/desirable cases. They will sell themselves.
Also, great design and welcome.
Peace ✌

Don't be afraid to charge what they're worth! In other words, don't lose money on them!
Best of luck with your project!

Hi,
Thank you very much for welcoming me and replying to my dilemma. As a newbie member to the Treasure net forms, I need to give ya'll a little information about myself. As I mentioned in my new member introduction, I have been metal detecting for 44 years and in that time the proper displaying and storage of my treasures are an ongoing goal. Being a custom cabinet builder by trade and having a fully equipped cabinet shop, this has not been a problem for me. While lurking on the Treasure net site for some time now,I have seen the need to help my fellow Th'ers in filling their needs. With all this being said, I would greatly appreciate any feedback, suggestions or request from my New Treasure Net family. As always, Happy Hunting and have a Blessed Day!!

Here are some prices that I have parsed out so far for the images above:
Decorative bullet case (11x20, 8 shelves): $39.95
Sliding glass display case with mounting bracket (10x12, 4 shelves): $29.95

For cases not shown (these are similar to the decorative bullet case, but have no decoration, and a full frame around it):
Non decorative bullet case (12x18, 5 shelves): $24.95
Non decorative bullet case (10x12, 5 shelves): $19.95
