Hi gang, just bought my first 'real' metal detector a Tesoro Sand Shark. I've always enjoyed MD'ing ever since I was 6yo when my dad bought me one for Christmas. I remember searching my grandmothers yard that day and finding atleast 5 or 6 dollars in coins. Thinking back, I know they had to have planted all those coins but man it was a blast.
I have 2 boys 7 & 11 and am looking forward to adding MD'ing to the list of activities that we enjoy doing as a family.
Growing up here on the Treasure Coast I recall always thinking to myself after each storm or hurricane, dang I wish I had a good MD to comb the beaches with. And reading articles of locals pulling all sorts of treasures off our shores.
I've been browsing the forum for weeks now and decided to join and perhaps in time contribute and share 'hopefully' my findings.
