Hello from the Palmetto State (SC)

While waiting on the metal detector I ordered, I'm using a rented Garrett 250 to start on my family's ancestral home in SC (1790) that had a log cabin. Would you start at the old cabin site, out in back, the barn? Any advice on how to proceed. And yes, I do have permission. It's gonna take a lot of trips to cover this 22 acre site.

welcome, what kind of machine did you order, did you get a pin pointer too? Grid out the areas and work it diligently.

Ordered a Garrett 350. And I think I'll get a pin pointer as well. Already got the orange flags to mark it off. Probably going to do 3 meter square grids and work very slowly. Having knee surgery in a week, but just couldn't wait to take a stab at it this weekend! Thanks for the advice!
